You said next time, LAST TIME.
You said "I'll try your class soon", then it was "I'm not ready yet". If I had a $1 for every time I heard "Sounds great, but maybe next time" we'd both be rich AF. It really boils down to this though: either you're not being honest with me, or you're not being honest with yourself. Let's get real: how many times have you put your health & well being on the back burner?
Feel called out? Well someone had to say it. I've been in your shoes, thinking, I just need more time.
I just need more money.
I'm just not ready.
I'll do it after the holiday (Thanksgiving).
I've been scared, I've been burned by coaches, I've failed at every diet in the history of diets. I've started and quit more fitness programs than I thought possible. I've put myself last for decades, thinking I wasn't worthy of change, staying unhappy and stuck because change was scary. Then one day a coached said to me, 'if you're unhappy and you don't choose to change, you're choosing unhappiness'. Then she challenged me to write in my journal everyday "I choose to be unhappy".
Do you know how that made me feel? LIKE GARBAGE. Do you know what else it did? It pissed me off, and I thought you know what, I'm tired of putting myself last. I'm tired of being stuck. I'm tired of being unhappy. So instead I wrote in my journal "I'm deserving of all the happiness in the world and the universe gives to me with unlimited potential". It took 3 days for me to see that I could change circumstance by changing my mindset.
Limiting beliefs and stories we tell ourselves keep us stuck and unhappy, because staying scared is safe. We choose the false benefits of not having to face rejection or judgement, not failing if we don't try and comfort over change.
How many more times will you let an opportunity pass you by? 3, 4, 100 times. The thing is by waiting until next time, you're telling your conscious & subconscious mind, "I'm ok with things just as they are".
Are you really ok with being unhappy? Feeling stuck? Wanting to look and feel different but being too scared to take a chance on change?
Change can be scary, but if you're unhappy, why are you choosing to stay that way? Nothing changes, if nothing changes. Try rewriting the limiting beliefs and stories you've been telling yourself. If you've said "I just don't have time", do you know what happens? You don't make the time. When you identify that time is your limiting belief you can reframe this into a powerful statement: I will make the time because my health is important to me. You know what happens, you'll make the time.
IF you're feeling overwhelmed, uncomfortable in your body or clothes, and stuck, you need to make a change. That change starts with eating better, moving your body, taking care of your mental health, healing your relationship with food, and fixing your mindset. 9 times out of 10 your unhappiness has nothing to do with weight loss or shrinking your body. Working with me does not include dieting, giving up your favorite foods, spending $$ on supplements or starving yourself to lose weight. This isn't that type of program.
So, if you've said next time in the past, I know that means you've been thinking about getting healthy, starting a workout program like Gem Fitness, or working with a coach 1 on 1. You deserve to invest in yourself. You are worthy of change. You are worthy of self confidence, love and the magnetic energy that comes with taking care of your mind, body and soul. But the more times you say no, the more times you're affirming that you're ok with being stuck.
So before you say next time think about this: What will remain the same if you don't change now? Are you ok with being unhappy, scared, stuck and unconfident (or however you're feeling) for the next 3, 6, 9 or 12 months?
The fact is no matter how long you put yourself off, you still won't have more time, you probably won't have more money, and this opportunity won't last forever. #factsoverfeelings
