Your brain can’t lift weights but it’s the most important muscle in your body for you to work!
That's why mindset coaching is at the center of everything I do! It doesn’t matter how heavy you lift or what you eat. If you don’t work on what’s going on inside your head you’ll never be successful at any program. So How do you train your brain?! 🏋🏻♀️🧠 Here's five ways to work that beautiful, intelligent brain of yours. 1. 🗣How you TALK to yourself matters: tell that inner Regina George to 🤫 positive thoughts only. If you wouldn’t say it to someone you love don’t even think about saying it to yourself.
2. 😁POSITIVE Affirmations really do work: Repeat after me, I AM WORTHY, I AM LOVED and I AM NEEDED. Write it on a post it, stick it on your mirror, say it out loud and repeat repeat repeat. 3. 🙋🏻♀️Ask for HELP: there’s ZERO shame in asking for help, whether it be therapy, a housekeeper, or getting a sitter to help with the kids. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS ALONE! 4. LISTEN: we’re often so busy trying to control 100 million things at once that we forget to listen, to our bodies or even to our loved ones. 5. 🐢SLOW DOWN: When was the last time you stopped and took a deep breath? Breathe in for a count of 5-7 and exhale for a count of 5-7. Repeat 3-4 times daily. Now don’t you feel better? The chores & work will always be there, so stop 🛑 and enjoy LIFE for a moment. We only get one and doesn’t if feel SO GOOD to be ALIVE? Are you in touch with your inner dialogue? When was the last time you slowed down and took a breather? If it’s been awhile stop now and take a few moments to think about your goals, your priorities and check in with how you’re feeling.
Maybe you need to schedule that therapy session or massage, or maybe it’s time you unplugged and grounded yourself in nature. 🌳 Try taking your shoes off and planting both hands and feet into the ground. Feel the earth beneath you, take a few deep breaths and soak up the energy of the earth!
