Beginner HIIT Workout

What is HIIT? HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training aka periods of high intensity exercise followed by a brief rest period.

Why should I do it?

1) HIIT builds endurance AND strength

2) It torches calories for increased fat loss

3) Increased metabolism

4) Better energy

5) Improved muscle tone

If you're more advanced, decrease rest periods to 10-30 seconds and add additional reps or rounds of the exercises.


HIIT is adaptable to EVERYONE! I have 65 and 84 year old clients that do HIIT workouts, it's all about modifying to your needs: ie adding in lower impact options and rest periods to fit your needs.
